On September 29, several Center scholars and staff members joined with allies at the Revolving Door Project on comments to the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), which were related to the agency’s latest proposed rules to implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). They commended CEQ for issuing a proposal that as a whole will strengthen the implementation of NEPA’s procedural requirements. They also suggested several ways that the proposal can be improved and strengthened to enhance NEPA’s environmental protection and public participation goals.
