On December 16, the Center joined the Coalition for Sensible Safeguards and dozens of public interest organizations in a joint letter to the U.S. House of Representatives opposing the so-called Midnight Rules Relief Act (H.R. 115). Among other things, the bill would amend the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to give members of Congress even more opportunities to do the bidding of corporate special interests and wipe out crucial safeguards that protect our air, water, climate, workplaces, and wallets.
