On September 23, Senior Policy Analyst Bryan Dunning submitted public comments to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection on a permit application for the Marcus Hook Mariner East Ethane Expansion and Chilling facility on the banks of the Delaware River. Dunning and the Center urged the agency to ensure that nearby communities have ample opportunity for public comment and participation in the permitting process and that the permit itself guard against further toxic discharges at the industrial site.
