On December 13, the Center joined NC WARN and dozens of businesses and public interest organizations in a letter to North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper. The letter calls on Cooper to openly and transparently clarify Duke Energy’s plans for hundreds of miles of new and expanded power lines and cleared corridors in North Carolina. This is especially important because this and other plans threaten effective climate action on the state level and could disproportionately impact marginalized communities in the state.
