On January 27, the Center joined more than 1,000 public interest organizations from across the country in a letter to Congress demanding that legislators withhold funds from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in light of the deaths of multiple civilians in Minneapolis and other U.S. cities. The letter requests that legislators maintain this funding block until the agencies end all of their abuses of power, violent acts, killings, and other illegal actions.
