On December 16, the Center joined the Maryland PIRG Foundation in joint comments to the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC). The comments object to the PSC’s staff recommendation that Washington Gas Light Company’s (WGL) STRIDE proposal be approved, particularly because the proposal fails to comply with the commission’s order that it adhere to the requirements of Maryland’s recent Next Generation Energy Act. The comments urge that the staff recommendation be deemed premature and that further deliberations be held.
