On December 9, the Center joined the Sierra Club, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Earthjustice, and Maryland League of Conservation Voters in joint comments to the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC). The comments urge the PSC to follow Maryland’s climate and energy laws, including the Next Generation Energy Act of 2025, and disapprove pending fossil fuel projects for participation in the expedited Certificate of Public Convenience & Necessity (CPCN) process. The comments also encourage the PSC to approve energy storage projects for inclusion in the CPCN process.
