On July 26, Policy Director James Goodwin submitted comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the agency’s proposed regulation of a chemical known as n-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP). EPA has proposed to regulate the substance under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), and Goodwin urged the agency to revise and improve the cost-benefit analysis that accompanied the proposed rule so that it is more consistent with federal law and the principles outlined in the Biden administration’s updates to Circular A-4.
