On October 23, the Center for Progressive Reform hosted a webinar featuring a powerful conversation on climate resilience in our changing world.
During this webinar, audience members heard from three leading voices:
- Rob Verchick, author of The Octopus in the Parking Garage, who will share insights on the systemic and grassroots solutions thriving despite political headwinds
- Maggie Dewane, author of Haiku and Hope: 50 States of Climate Change, who will share how creativity and outdoor recreation can build resilience and conversation around a changing climate
- Daniel Wildcat, Director of the American Indian Studies Program and Environmental Research Studies at Haskell Indian Nations University, and author of On Indigenuity: Learning the Lessons of Mother Earth and Red Alert: Saving the Planet with Indigenous Knowledge, who will share perspectives and insights from Indigenous practices and experiences from working in the field.
Moderated by Sophie Loeb, a policy analyst at the Center for Progressive Reform, speakers shared concrete examples of climate progress and resilience and show us how to build a just future with climate in mind.
