On April 13, the Center joined the Upgrade Maryland coalition and several other public interest organizations in joint comments to the Maryland Public Service Commission. The comments were related to the Office of People’s Counsel’s (OPC) request for clarification and rehearing related an order under the Next Generation Energy Act (NGEA). The organizations supported OPC’s call for a rehearing and urged the commission to begin robust, effective enforcement under the NGEA, including compliance guidelines to utilities that provide methane gas service to customers.
