On December 9, the Center joined dozens of public interest organizations and coalitions in a letter to congressional leaders opposing the SANDBOX Act of 2025 (S. 2750). The legislation would place corporate deregulatory goals related to artificial intelligence (AI) over the public interest and short-circuit attempts to protect Americans from the safety, environmental, financial, and other impacts a rapid, largely unregulated AI build out could have.
