Spencer Green is the Senior Editor and Research Advisor at the Center for Progressive Reform. He is passionate about the intersection of climate, economic, and racial justice with public scholarship, organizing, and independent journalism.
Prior to joining the Center in September 2023, Spencer worked with several community-based nonprofits in New Orleans and Iowa, with a focus on disaster relief, anti-poverty programming, and neighborhood organizing. He has also trained and organized with Iowa CCI Action on clean air and water campaigns, immigration justice, and against predatory lending.
In 2019, he received his Master’s degree in journalism from the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. His work has appeared in The Nation, The New Republic, and other outlets.
